Dina Purse in green Cirebon megamendung batik print.

Dina is a multitasker.

Made of  cotton, neoprene and non-woven biodegradable fabric, Dina can act like a make-up purse, evening clutch or toiletry bag for the gym or traveling.

Dina had three compartments -two large side compartments and one smaller middle compartment with a zipper of its own. Serious organization alert!

This purse comes in various design. The Cirebon megamendung cloud print (bottom row and top left) and are usually seen in batik made in Pekalongan, Java. This cloud print is based on the art of China,  brought to Indonesia by tradesmen. Floral  buketan print (middle left) are more European in influence. The orange parang (top right) design is a native Indonesian design.

Every one of these Dina Purses are one of a kind, made just for us, in Indonesia by MD Crafts. MD Crafts is a co-operative based in Pekalongan on the island of Java, that employs local batik artisans, and others, from the surrounding suburban community. This helps supports the local economy and also keeps the highly skilled, age -old art of batik alive.
